Last updated 2026. This page describes exactly what Four Nights West collects — nothing more than what's described here.
This site has two forms: a general contact form (name, email, message) and a guide-request form (email only), both on the Contact page. Submitting either sends the data to our server over a standard HTTPS POST request and stores it in a database record along with the date, the kind of submission, and the IP address the request came from. We do not collect any other personal information anywhere else on the site — there are no accounts, no logins, and no other data-entry points.
Contact-form submissions are stored so we can reply to your message. Guide-request emails are stored so we can send the requested timetable guide and, if we ever produce an update to it, let past requesters know — nothing beyond that. We do not use either list for unrelated marketing.
This site does not run analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels, and it does not set any cookies. No behavioural data is collected about how you browse the site.
We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with any third party. The only outbound links from this site are the destinations of standard Wikipedia-style informational references and links to VIA Rail's own official site for booking — clicking those takes you to a different site with its own privacy practices, which we don't control.
Contact and guide-request records are retained until you ask us to delete them, or until we perform a periodic cleanup of records older than two years, whichever comes first.
You can ask us to show you what's stored under your email address, correct it, or delete it entirely at any time — email a request through the contact form and we'll act on it within a reasonable time.
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll remove it.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. Material changes affecting how existing data is used will be noted here directly.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the Contact page.
